Wè or Guere mask from Ivory Coast, zoomorphic form, the face with thin, arched brows, forehead with central ridge, pierced, elongated eyes with thick lids, ridged cheeks, jutting mouth with carved teeth, and grooved chin underneath. Old inventory number in the back reads “73995.” Pierced laterally. Dark glossy patina.
